On the river Blackwater you’ll find the home of An Port Mór CCÉ in the beautiful village of Blackwatertown.
Since its formation in 1984, the branch has strived to become the stellar pillar of the community it is today.
Classes started off in the old school canteen, then moved to St Jarlath’s Primary School, and more recently moved to the neighbouring village of Benburb to the Priory, to be able to accommodate the large number of students, where they teach everything from ‘Trad for Tots’ to Irish classes for adults.
The Ryandale in the neighbouring village of Moy has hosted our monthly sessions over the years and are compered by one of our founding members, Francie Quinn. They are attended by fellow musicians from all over Ulster.
