Comhaltas Ard Macha is the representative body for all Comhaltas branches within Armagh, supporting branches with the day to day running of their organisations, and promoting traditional Irish music, language, song and dance, throughout Armagh.
The County board commitee is made up of delegates from each branch. The County Board represents its members at Ulster Council and additionally serves as a liaison at a national level with the Ard Comhairle of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
It is responsible for running Fleadh Cheoil Ard Macha and the Maid of the Mill Festival, in addition to many other events that serve to highlight the work done at a local level by individual branches. These events include:
– Monthly Junior sessions
– Education & Training Workshops
– Music Workshops
– Performance Groups
